What is a retro camcorder guest-filming pack?
A set of small retro-style camcorders you place on your tables. Guests pick them up and film short clips throughout your wedding or event, capturing the day from their point of view. Afterwards you receive all the raw footage and, if you choose, an edited highlights film and a private online gallery.
How much does retro camcorder hire cost in the UK?
Packages start at £149 for a retro camera photo pack and £199 for a two-camcorder video pack. Adding an edited highlights film is £295, and a combined video & photo bundle starts at £299. A refundable £100 deposit applies.
How do the cameras get to us and back?
We post your cameras to arrive two days before your event, fully charged and ready. Afterwards you drop them in the prepaid return box at any Post Office. Couples in South West London can also choose hand-delivery and setup.
Is this a good alternative to disposable cameras at a wedding?
Yes. Our screen-free digital cameras never run out of film, take hundreds of photos, create no plastic waste, and deliver your images in a fast online gallery rather than needing development — the nostalgic look without the blurry misfires.
Do we still need a videographer?
No. Retro Capture is a self-filming experience — your guests are the camera operators, so there's no crew at your event. Many couples use it alongside a professional videographer for candid moments; many use it on its own as an affordable, fun way to capture the day.
How long does the edited film take?
Edited highlights films are turned around in about 7 days — far faster than the 8–12 weeks common elsewhere. Raw footage and photo galleries arrive even sooner.
